Preparation:
- Complete power washing of all exterior surfaces to remove dirt and mildew and insure proper paint adhesion. Driveways, walkways, decks, and patios are power washed on request.
- All surface areas are inspected for loose or peeling paint. These areas will be scraped and primed with oil base or acrylic primer to seal out moisture.
- Downspouts are removed.
- Metal lentils above windows on brick homes will be primed with a red oxide primer to reduce any reoccurring rust issues.
Carpentry Services:
All Paint Co crews have an experienced carpenter on staff. Any wood rot is identified and replaced with a no rot material. Recessed nail holes and knotholes are puttied for appearance purposes and to prevent water permeation of the siding material.
Method of Application:
Paint Co specializes in exterior HAND BRUSHING. We pride ourselves in the fact that we are one of the few companies in the Triangle that have been performing the superior finish that this method provides for the past 14 years. We will discuss with you the pros and cons of both hand brushing and spray application and determine the best method for you and your home.
Paint:
We use Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore , Glidden and Sikkens premium quality products to insure a long lasting durable finish. Although we recommend these manufacturers, there are many other fine products that we will use upon your request.
Final Inspection:
A final walk through will be conducted with the same single point of contact that has been with you through the entire project. Any touch up is completed at this time and final payment is not made until you are 100% satisfied.
Exterior projects include outside window cleaning and screens re-hung. Paint chips are cleaned up and removed. We will also leave any leftover paint for you to use for touch ups.
